Required Parent Meeting:

We will contact you and your parents to invite you to a meeting.This is required as we want to make sure that parents are aware of the requirements and the responsibilities that are involved with the TCSO Cadet Program

Interview and Background Check

Following the "parent meeting"you will be invited in for an interview with Sheriff Office personnel.This will be the completion of your "background check". Final Process:

You will be notified of your acceptance into the cadet program.You will also be provided with a training calendar as well as your gear!

The Tillamook County Sheriffs Office Cadet Program offers youth with opportunities and experience that cannot be obtained in any other capacity.These opportunities help lead youth into career exploration
as well as provide them with insight into a rewarding career in Law Enforcement or any other social service related career.

Phase I
Search and Rescue Certification

Training Includes:

Helicopter Safety and Rescue,Land Navigation(gps)Man Tracking,Search Techniques,Rope Rescue Tech, Wilderness Survival,First Aid and Wilderness Medicine,Patient Care,As well as other related SAR Training's.

Phase II
Law Enforcement(Education)

Training Includes:

Criminal Law,Professional Ethics,Traffic/Crowd Control,Self Defense,Incident Command(ICS),Communications,Patrol Tactics,Officer Survival,Traumatic Incident Stress,as well as other related Law Enforcement Education Training's.
